We finally finished CADing our Turtle Wheel Hub Cap!
We also learned about modifying the CAD models while they are in the assembly. An assembly is a grouping of multiple CAD models. It can consist of custom parts and/or commercially available parts. For our assembly, we had the custom turtle and a pre-made wheel model. We lined up the turtle to the wheel so we could compare the two and adjust the turtle if needed. This helped us learn to change things in the assembly and not just in the separate CAD model. We also learned how to do assembly drawings and section views.
We wanted to make wheel hub caps for our robot so it could look more aesthetically pleasing. We also made the caps so that our robot looks different than other robots and so that people would say "Hey! That's the Tactical Tech Tomato Turtles's robot!" Brand Recognition!
