Clare and Benjamin offer coding ideas while Sam, Natu, and Ben give feedback on tournament performance.
After our meeting we looked back on the events that we experienced. The team we helped had more information, experience, and confidence about their upcoming tournament. Our team learned about mentoring a less experienced team effectively and about solar flares and their impact on astronauts.
First, we introduced ourselves. Then, starting with mock robot design judging, we walked the team through what they would do at the tournament. We offered ideas about their coding as well as listening to their project presentation, pretended to be judges asking questions, and offered suggestions. Finally, we explained what a core values exercise is like, gave them one we made up to practice, and helped them think through what they could do differently.
